Near the top of the stem the leaves develop some white variegation and sometimes the white will predominate. In late summer it flowers. Give this plant a sunny site in any reasonable soil that is well drained. It makes a lovely foil for all the bright summer flowers. As with most euphorbias, the sap is poisonous and can irritate the skin, so wear gloves when you tend them.
